Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster-Led The Music Man Revival Cast Album Released September 23
The album from Accidental Jacket Entertainment in partnership with Time-Life features the revival’s original Broadway cast.
Broadway’s current revival of Meredith Willson’s The Music Manled by Tony winners Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster, releases its previously announced cast album September 23. The cast gathered to record the score at Manhattan Center July 25. The release is being put out by Accidental Jacket Entertainment in label partnership with Time-Life .
The Tony-nominated revival continues at Broadway’s Winter Garden Theatre, with a final performance set for January 1, 2023.
The album features the production’s original Broadway cast, including Jackman and Foster as Harold Hill and Marian Paroo, respectively, alongside fellow Tony winners Shuler Hensley as Marcellus Washburn, Jefferson Mays as Mayor Shinn, Jayne Houdyshell as Mrs. Shinn, and Marie Mullen as Mrs. .Paroo; and Remy Auberjonois as Charlie Cowell, Gino Cosculluela as Tommy Djilas, Emma Crow as Zaneeta Shinn, Benjamin Pajak as Winthrop, Kayla Teruel as Amaryllis, Garrett Long as Ethel Toffelmier, Linda Mugleston as Alma Hix, Jessica Sheridan as Maud Dunlop, Rema Webb as Mrs. Squires, Phillip Boykin as Olin Britt, Eddie Korbich as Jacey Squires, Daniel Torres as Ewart Dunlop, Nicholas Ward as Oliver Hix, Lance Roberts as Constable Locke, and Max Clayton as Standby for Harold Hill.

Also featured from the original cast are Nick Alvino, Jordan Beall, Ronnie S. The album is produced by Grammy nominee Robert Sher in partnership with Brian Gillet and Huck Walton. Steve Shultz and Catherine Shultz are executive producers, with Marc David Levine, Evan McGill, Patrick Vaccariello, and David Garfinkle serving as co-producers.
The Music Man, which features a book, music, and lyrics by Meredith Willson, tells the story of what happens when con artist Harold Hill arrives in River City and falls in love with the straight-laced librarian, Marian. The work first opened on Broadway in 1957 at the Majestic Theatre. The 2000 revival played the Neil Simon Theatre. Jerry Zaks directs the new production of the musical, which also features vocal and dance arrangements by David Chase, orchestrations by Tunick, and music direction by Patrick Vaccariello.
